Beachy Weekend

Last weekend we decided to go for a little get away and headed to the coast. The kids were so excited that they didn't stop talking about what we were going to do when we got there the entire drive. Their enthusiasm was at the same level as when we go to Disneyland! The boys woke up at 7:00 am begging to go to the beach! So much for sleeping in. We managed to hold them off for a few hours and then headed to the beach. It was some of the best weather we've had there. The boys loved playing in the sand with their trucks.
Holden helping his dad build the fire pit.

We took a drive into Depot Bay and hoped that we'd see some whales along the way, but unfortunately we didn't see any.

This is what Holden spent a lot of time doing...

I went for a run on the beach for about 40 minutes and the boys threw rocks the entire time. Travis' arm was actually sore the next day.

They attempted to fly a kite, but didn't quite have enough wind.

One of the boys favorite things is to have a campfire and roast marshmellows for smores.

Enjoying the cool playhouse.

Someone built this fun fort.

This is the reaction I got when I snuck up on the boys while playing in the playhouse.

My grown-up Carson.

My boys. We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend and can't wait to go back.
