It's great to be 8!

We have an 8 year old in our house!!
Carson is so cute about family and holiday traditions, and he doesn't care if it's a surprise. He made sure to tell me the night before to make sure his presents were set out on the table and that the happy birthday banner was up. Travis and I decided we want the kids to get a special gift on their 8th birthday. Carson loves trains and has wanted to go on a real train ride for a long time, so that was his gift!

This is the card Travis made up for Carson saying he gets to go on an Amtrak ride to Sacramento in two weeks! He was pretty excited.

Carson received a lot of money for his birthday,which he loved and a small Book of Mormon from uncle Chris and aunt Cassie, he was quite happy about that.

We had a lasertag party this year with 13 of Carson's friends which was crazy and fun.

They also got to play a bunch of video games and earned tons of tickets to redeem for prizes.

You can tell they were taking things pretty seriously.

The funny thing is, Travis acted like he didn't want to play, but then eagerly took Holden's spot when he didn't want to. He coached the kids on his team on what do and where to be and was quite happy when his team won. He also didn't fail to mention that he was the high scorer of the whole game amongst a bunch of 7 and 8 year olds. :)
